flag4peace was raised first time during the world youth day in Cologne 2005, within the framework of the official culture program. From there it started its symbolical path around the world.

To make the message not just visible but also tangible, small flags were placed on a pedestal table, which the viewers could take with them. At the same time the viewers had the opportunity to write in their own language the word 'peace' on the white sides of the pedestal table. A wonderful table was created with peace wishes from hundreds of visitors from all over the world.

The ones who left waving their flags, showed that they admit to peace.
That was another statement at this world youth day.

There is a long way to go for flag4peace to reach all people.
